Capstone Senior Project

Good Roots

Project Details

Good Roots is a non-profit fresh produce delivery service I branded and produced as part of my final senior capstone project and exhibition. I researched non-profit design for this project and found that many people who experience food insecurity, also known as food deserts, are more hesitant to reach out for help and assistance because they feel stigmatized. To combat this, I wanted to bring a very playful and friendly energy to the brand using a folk-art inspired art style, which is historically rooted in human-centered design. My deliverables for this project included a full logo suite, packaging and materials (a delivery box for produce, produce wraps for pint boxes, produce tags to tie onto mesh bags for larger produce, and kraft paper bags to carry produce in), a delivery truck wrap design, a volunteer t-shirt design, a hand-painted mural, a welcome sign, and a website prototype.
